What To Expect
1
Tower Fall
Tower Fall is a waterfall on Tower Creek in the northeastern region of Yellowstone National Park, in the U.S. state of Wyoming. Approximately 1,000 yards upstream from the creek's confluence with the Yellowstone River, the fall plunges 132 feet. Its name comes from the rock pinnacles at the top of the fall
2
Calcite Springs Overlook
Located along the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone River, Calcite Springs Overlook offers one of the most scenic viewpoints in the park. Perched at an elevation of 6,537 feet, it overlooks the river’s twisting, green waters, framed by towering cliffs streaked with vibrant yellow and orange hues. The springs themselves are geothermal vents releasing steam along the riverbank, providing a striking contrast against the canyon walls. The overlook offers a glimpse into the park’s volcanic history, showcasing fascinating thermal features and rugged geological formations.
3
Lamar Valley
The Lamar River Valley, bookended by mountain ranges, is home to herds of elk, bison, grizzlies, several packs of wolves, and a variety of bird species. Accessible via car year-round, this valley is a prime location for wildlife viewing - especially during the early morning or late evening hours.
4
Mammoth Hot Springs
One of the oldest geo-thermal areas in Yellowstone National Park and the site of the Town of Mammoth Hotsprings, a National Historic Site. See the enormous hostprings with the colorful bacteria that give this area its unique look and vista.
5
Sheepeater Cliffs
The Sheepeater Cliffs are a series of exposed cliffs made up of columnar basalt in Yellowstone National Park in the United States. The lava was deposited about 500,000 years ago during one of the periodic basaltic floods in Yellowstone Caldera, and later exposed by the Gardner River.
6
Obsidian Cliff
Obsidian Cliff was an important source of lithic materials for prehistoric peoples in Yellowstone National Park near Mammoth Hot Springs, Wyoming, United States. The cliff was named by Philetus Norris, the second park superintendent in 1878. It was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1996.
7
Norris Geyser Basin
The largest collection of Springs in the park. Site of Steamboat Geyser.

Took private Upper and Lower Loop Yellowstone tours with Jason. Jason was an awesome guide! He picked us up bright and early from our lodge in W Yellowstone. His knowledge of the park was amazing ! He took us to all the popular spots in the park and even included some extra stops to see unique spots- ie. “Chocolate fountain spring”. Jason had a variety of drinks and snacks available and knew all the restroom spots in the park! My husband and I never would have managed to see so much of the park over two days without Jason! Yellowstone is truly a magical place and a must see!

Yellowstone Upper Loop tour is awesome! We made stops at Dunraven Pass, Tower Falls, Mt Chittenden Road Overlook, Blacktail Plateau Drive, Mammoth and Mammoth Hot Springs, Sheep Eater Cliffs, and Roaring Mountain. We had a great day with our guide Dakota. He shared a lot of history of the park and specific stops. Did a nice job of getting us to good spots for pics and avoiding any crowding at certain stops. Highly recommend Globe-Trekkers!

Very disappointed. The guide rushed us through an 8 hour tour in 6 hours. Worse, he gave inaccurate information. He told us there were only 34 grizzly bears in Yellowstone Park- readers indicates there are closer to 800. We stopped at a bear jam, bear no longer visible. Our guide proceeded to tell passing cars that there was a wolf on the hill. We literally could not get away from him fast enough. Biggest regret was that we tipped him out of obligation. We have taken many tours through Viator that have been worth every penny- this was not one of them.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We genuinely regret that your experience did not meet your expectations. After a thorough review of the concerns you raised, including discussions with our guide and an analysis of our GPS location software, we found ourselves puzzled by your review. It appears that all advertised stops were completed during the tour, and we are pleased that you were able to see a bear—a noteworthy accomplishment, especially in August when wildlife viewing can be particularly challenging in Yellowstone. Regarding the bear population, it's important to clarify that while there are over 1,000 grizzly bears in the greater Yellowstone ecosystem, which includes surrounding states and national forests, the number residing permanently within the park is estimated at 150 to 200. Consequently, in areas like Lamar Valley, you might encounter the same few bears consistently. With respect to your comments about wolf sightings, there was indeed a fresh kill in the vicinity, and wolves can be elusive, often remaining still during the hotter parts of the day, making them difficult to spot. Concerning the pacing of the tour, our guide reported that the experience lasted 6.5 hours from pickup to drop-off, which aligns with our average during August when wildlife sightings are less frequent. The 8-hour timeframe noted in our tour description accounts for potential delays due to animal traffic jams, particularly in spring and late fall. Regarding gratuities, we want to clarify that while tipping is appreciated and directly benefits our guides, it is not mandatory. This brings us to a point of confusion: if you felt the tour and guide warranted only a one-star rating, we are unsure why you chose to provide a tip exceeding $200. Our guide noted that everyone seemed to be enjoying the tour, and he perceived a positive atmosphere with laughter and engagement. It appears there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the nature of the tour you booked. If your expectations leaned toward a strictly wildlife-focused experience, we can understand how this could impact your enjoyment. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment this may have caused. Moving forward, we will strive to enhance communication between our guides and guests to ensure clear expectations about the tours we offer. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.
