Highly recommend! A private tour is the way to go and our guide Alika did not disappoint. He took great care of us, was enthusiastic all day and was a great driver on the sometimes harrowing one lane road. In addition to the gorgeous vistas at every turn, we got to see the local way of life and even eat some of the best barbecue ever. He also taught us about the culture of the island. We hiked to see the red sand beach (not for the faint of heart and definitely wear good shoes!), crawled through a lava tube and saw the rainbow eucalyptus, none of which we would have seen driving ourselves. All in all it was a great day!

We had an amazing experience on the road to Hana with Kasey. We took our 17 year old and 9 year old and they both said it was the best day of their lives. Especially since Kasey was able to show our 17 year old some crazy cliff dives, rope swings, and hiking trails. Half of the fun was watching Kasey jump off of things Also would recommend stopping at Braddah Hutts in Hana for some Hawaiian bbq that was amazing. One caveat is that I would not bring any little kids or anyone who gets car sick. Things like the red sand beach are incredible but would be tough for a small child to manage.

Jedi was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and customized the whole day for what worked for my family. He was great with my two kids and came prepared with snacks and fun stops like a great pizza place and chocolate shop along with multiple waterfalls and the beach that keep everyone happy.
