I wanted to do an excursion where my family and I could see the island but not be stuck in a car all day. This tour was the perfect compromise so that all of our wishlist items could be checked off! Casey was a fantastic guide and was incredibly patient. He helped our son navigate the use of a rope swing into a waterfall pool and also led us on a slightly challenging (awesome!) hike to another gorgeous waterfall which couldn’t be seen from the road. And at the end, brought us to a red sand beach with breathtaking views. I would recommend this tour, and Casey as a guide, to anyone interested in learning about the island and looking for adventure!

We decided to do a tour of Hana rather than drive because of inexperience with the terrain and wanting everyone (driver included) to enjoy the views. We searched many tour companies and they seemed to do the same “touristy” things. We decided a private tour was the best route. We were greeted by Michael (owner) and immediately felt at ease with his experience and warm welcome. Nicole was our driver and I can’t say enough about her! She quickly got our family’s “vibe” and decided to do the reverse tour (rentals aren’t allowed on these roads) and take us to places that she personally has experienced and loved (waterfall was the best). We were a five person group ranging from ages 21-52 and pretty active so we were able to handle the hikes/climbs/walks. Taking Dramamine was key! Nicole was also an excellent driver (don’t let her size fool you). She showed us the best sights and was always asking to take pictures for us. The pictures speak for themselves! We can’t say enough about our trip on the road to Hana with Kasey yesterday. It was an incredible experience with amazing views, interesting information about the island, and stops every place we wanted to stop. It didn’t feel at all like a tour; it was more like a new friend picked you up at your hotel to share a day on the island. The vibe of the day was laid-back and chill because that’s what we asked for and needed on this trip. If you want to see Maui you’re way, at your speed, book this tour. You won’t regret it.
