We really enjoyed our day on the road to Hana with Chris. The snacks and cooler in the car were convenient and the car was very comfortable. Chris handled the road like a pro and had many interesting facts and stories about the island. We are so happy we did this trip. We feel like we really got to see the island and that we got to do it at our own pace. It was nice to have a flexible schedule and choose your own adventure style day. Chris was an amazing tour guide and and we highly recommend him! I’m usually the one who drives and I am so relieved I didn’t have to navigate those roads. If you’re going to Hana, this is the way to do it.

John was a great tour guide. We felt safe with him driving. He even took great care of my mom who couldn’t walk much. He would sit with her while the rest of us explored the area. In addition, John was very knowledgeable about the area and was great at explaining what we were seeing. We hope to see John again on our next tour.

Chris was absolutely amazing! His knowledge about the island, vegetation, animals, history, and local culture was very impressive. This was the best way to see Maui on a day trip from Oahu; early flight over, meet at local supermarket, ride the road to a beach, grab some amazing vegan ice cream and food truck style lunch in Hana, swim at the sandy Koki Beach, explore a waterfall, ride around the backside of the island just in time for an early evening flight back to Oahu. I would have spent the whole time “white knuckling” the curves, but Chris has a stead way of keeping everything moving smoothly. Definitely recommend this adventure to anyone visiting Maui!
