My boyfriend and I had received the Virginia custom wine tour as a gift from my sister for Christmas. We had waited for the perfect opportunity to use the gift and thought a sunny June Sunday would be the best time of the year to go. Of course, things don’t always go as planned, and it was pouring rain the whole morning leading up to our 11AM tour. We were pretty bummed but decided to make the most out of our day. Our driver, JC, had been in contact with us from the start and was very kind and knowledgeable about the area and the Virginia wine tours. He called us at 10:30 letting us know he was outside. We found him standing outside in the rain with the biggest smile on his face, excited to drive us around for the day. He recommended many vineyards based on what we like. He even gave us an informative book depicting the atmosphere and wine at each vineyard. Throughout our afternoon JC was nothing but accommodating and knowledgeable, as we exchanged great conversation in between stops. He set up the most wonderful picnic for us and seemed to know the staff at each vineyard very well, getting us seated immediately wherever we went. We were able to fit 5 stops in during our 5 hour time window! At the end of the day we completely forgot it was raining! All in all we had a 10/10 experience and would recommended this service to anyone even the slightest bit interested!

I recently took a wine tour and the entire experience was first class. The driver, J.C., was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the Charlottesville area as well as the wine making process. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore the beautiful vineyards around Charlottesville.
