We recently traveled to Houston, TX, to learn about the area’s history and cultural attractions and included a stop here. We spent a little over an hour exploring their galleries, full of very nice artifacts, rifles, pistols, spurs, fancy saddles, and more; the top floor had an art gallery as well. Combining this site with tours of the Moody Mansion and Bishop’s Palace made for an enjoyable day in Galveston. Our admission was free through our NARM membership; they offer free onsite parking. Definitely worth checking out!

Great museum of history about the west. Not really my thing, but If you are into art, there are some great paintings that are at this museum as well.
