What To Expect

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Travelers will take of from Hilo Airport where they will fly directly to the volcanoes national park. Along the way they will see orchid farms and lush native forest that are in large part only found on big island. The volcanoes national park gives breathtaking views of lava flows both old and new.

We took a helicopter tour over Volcano National Park, and saw amazing landscapes, active volcano activity, and beautiful waterfalls. Our pilot, Sam, was AWESOME, and the "everything else" person, Stephanie, was fantastic. Both were so nice and friendly. I would highly recommend this activity!!

So amazing! Part of the reason we decided to come to the Big Island now it's Kilauea is currently active with hot lava, and that's something I've always wanted to see. We went with Safari the very first day they reopened after Covid. Sam was our pilot and she was awesome. She told us they had been training and such while they were shut down. She warned us before flight started that because there was a lot of cloud cover, there was only a50% chance we would get to the summit. I was very disappointed Ellen she said that because the chance to see lava was the main reason for the trip, but I understood when she said safety was her #1 priority. Site DID manage to get us up there though, and it was all incredible experience. So- super nice people, great trip, and best prices around!

From this perspective you can see a lot more of the island. Our pilot had the helicopter under full control and was able to tell us a lot about the island.
