What To Expect

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Travelers will take of from Hilo Airport where they will fly directly to the volcanoes national park. Along the way they will see orchid farms and lush native forest that are in large part only found on big island. The volcanoes national park gives breathtaking views of lava flows both old and new.

We had an awesome experience flying with Safari for the 3rd time in Hilo! The pilot Sam was excellent, she gave meaningful commentary and showed us some awesome sights! We were lucky enough to see some lava movement in the crater. Safari does an amazing job every time! We can not wait until our we have the chance to return again for another tour!

I echo the other comments about the experience and the staff. Stephanie was great at handling the ground details, I didn't catch the names of the other ground staff but they were excellent. And Sam (Samantha) was an ideal pilot and very knowledgeable. She made sure both sides got to see the major features, knew the history of the features and clearly enjoyed what she was doing. To top it off, they let us pose for pic after with the helicopter, using our own cameras. We are very pleased with the experience. We would love to fly with them again. Pictures1shows Mt Kilauea crater (dont judge my poor camera skills), 1 shows staff getting us on helicopter,1 shows Hilo from the air, 1 shows Pele's home if I recall correctly. I was so excited I was taking photos cobtinuously.
