What To Expect

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Travelers will take of from Hilo Airport where they will fly directly to the volcanoes national park. Along the way they will see orchid farms and lush native forest that are in large part only found on big island. The volcanoes national park gives breathtaking views of lava flows both old and new.

Sam and Stephanie were very friendly and welcoming. The ride was very smooth. Sam, the pilot, was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. She knew all about the volcanos, geology, and landmarks. My family and I were super happy with the entire experience and my son hasn’t stopped taking about the experience since. Sam was an excellent pilot! She even suggested some local sites to see and we are so thankful because it was beautiful. I would highly recommend this helicopter tour when visiting the big island of Hawaii.

Excellent experience. We took a tour this afternoon of the volcanoes and caught a few waterfalls on the way back. Sam, our pilot, did an amazing job engaging our 7 year old son and made him feel like a part of the tour. It was our first time in a helicopter and we felt relaxed and well taken care of. We also learned A TON about volcanoes, Hilo and the island in general. Everything from start to finish was easy and professional. Would recommend to anyone!

My wife and I spent a portion of our 38th anniversary with Safari Helicopters. Neither one of us had ever been in a helicopter before. Stephanie was a warm & friendly host and Sam was a charming & skilled pilot and guide. Spectacular views of the park! Would definitely recommend!
