What To Expect

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Travelers will take of from Hilo Airport where they will fly directly to the volcanoes national park. Along the way they will see orchid farms and lush native forest that are in large part only found on big island. The volcanoes national park gives breathtaking views of lava flows both old and new.

Sam, our pilot for Safari Helicopters was friendly and informative. The ground crew weee also friendly and cheerful which made a warm welcome. The day was clear so we had great views of the volcano caldera and waterfalls. The only drawback was the person sitting in the middle seat probably didn’t have a great view. Would definitely recommend Safari Helicopters.

Our captain Sam was great at maneuvering the helicopter so everyone on board could see. This was my first time on a helicopter and she had a very calming presence and confidence. She was knowledgeable about varied topics. Was a great experience and my sons favorite activity that we did in Hawaii
