What To Expect

Volo Museum

Sprawled out over 35 acres, the Volo Auto Museum is home to over 33 exhibits and display attractions including a camper museum, military museum, train tours, cars of the rich and famous, a Batmobile collection, muscle cars, classic cars, vintage bicycles, and much more. The exhibits are family friendly and range from Special Interest Cars to Mickey Mouse, creating an experience the whole family can enjoy. Visitors tend to spend anywhere from one to five hours here. You are encouraged to plan on spending the whole day so you can enjoy all of the exhibits at a comfortable pace. However, you do not need much time to appreciate this inspiring history of the auto industry.

We took our 9 yr. old grandson who LOVED the place. We gave him a camera of his own to use & he loved taking pictures of his favorites. The place was well organized...clean...& a great experience. Can't believe it's only 1 hr. from our home & this is the 1st we've heard of it.

If you are into vintage or muscle cars, I could definitely see how you could spend many hours here. We were more interested in the television and movie cars, but there was an amazing array of collections of different things: tractors, vintage campers, boats, etc. We also enjoyed the collection of Show Biz Pizza figures and were able to watch the majority of them in action. We paid the extra to see the Dinosaurs, which may be worthwhile for small children, but not as extensive as the other collections.

Enjoyed seeing the numerous vehicles used in major motion pictures. The Trump display was off putting as it included a life size figure of Trump wearing the politically charged MAGA hat. Keep the politics out of the museum so all can enjoy. I understand from the museum’s previous response to a similar complaint that they tried to purchase an Obama car. However, it is the Trump figure and the MAGA hat that were the most problematic.
