What To Expect

Volo Museum

Sprawled out over 35 acres, the Volo Auto Museum is home to over 33 exhibits and display attractions including a camper museum, military museum, train tours, cars of the rich and famous, a Batmobile collection, muscle cars, classic cars, vintage bicycles, and much more. The exhibits are family friendly and range from Special Interest Cars to Mickey Mouse, creating an experience the whole family can enjoy. Visitors tend to spend anywhere from one to five hours here. You are encouraged to plan on spending the whole day so you can enjoy all of the exhibits at a comfortable pace. However, you do not need much time to appreciate this inspiring history of the auto industry.

Took Grandsons and we loved it .... until we were subjected to a statue of trump ,placed next to his 24k gold limo ,wearing a MAGA hat standing in front of a large American flag . Politics should not be infused in this fun place . Will never go back !

This was waaaay more than we expected. A great side trip from Chicago We've been to many car museums over the year, but my 70 yr old husband was thoroughly impressed! It had more than just old cars, it had movie or tv show cars, and so much more. They had old kid rides, old travel trailers, old snowmobiles, and little side museums like the military museum. We couldn't do the outside stuff, but I'm sure it's awesome. The antique buildings were huge. I think there was 5 of them! If you like that kind of stuff you will like this place. I'd make sure kids are a little older to appreciate it.

This place is amazing! If you love cars, it has everything you could ask for. Literally hundreds of cars, indoors, all clean, polished, and restored. I'd guess about 75% of them are for sale. The famous Hollywood cars and the ones owned by celebrities are not for sale, nor are the exceptionally rare ones, but all the others are appraised and priced. But cars are only part of the fun. There are antique motorcycles, bicycles, jukeboxes, snowmobiles, outboard motors, military vehicles and hardware, even kiddie pedal cars! There are farm implements, train cars, classic motorhomes, two jet airplanes and so much more I can't even remember. Well worth the trip.
