Stop at JDH Iron Design when open. Jimmy Don is a Texas treasure and as nice as they come. Please understand that we have no control over the operating hours of Jimmy Don's business, but we do stop when open and provide a discount ticket for shopping.

This was a very full 2 ½-hour tour but I did not feel rushed at all. Between learning about the local sights, we got the opportunity to shop at Harp Designs as well as Jimmy Don’s Iron Designs. Tourists on the Brazos Tour bus were given discounts on purchases made at the shops. **Jimmy Don was actually AT his shop when we stopped and he kindly offered to pose with us for individual photos. He also personally autographed any items purchased from his shop. Texas summers can be very hot, but the van was well air-conditioned. Scott even left the motor/air running during much of our shopping time so it would still be cool when we returned. The real treat was touring inside one of the actual houses from a Fixer Upper episode – The Three Little Pigs house. After showing us the highlights of the project, Scott gave us time to roam around the house on our own to take pictures and check out the details. Scott was a very friendly, witty, and knowledgeable tour guide. He made us feel comfortable and encouraged us to ask questions. Not only was the tour filled with fun information about Chip & Joanna projects, but it was also balanced with interesting facts about the city of Waco, Baylor University, and more. Scott knew Waco trivia that I’d never heard before – and I’ve lived in Waco for over 22 years! I very much enjoyed myself! In fact, I plan to book this tour again the next time I entertain visitors here in Waco. This is a tour I'd want my friends and family to experience!

My 10-year-old grandson and I took this tour at the end of June. We were delighted with our knowledgeable guide who knew not only “Fixer Upper” details and info, but shared plenty of Waco facts and history. Water was also provided and frequently offered. We were treated to stops at the original Magnolia little shop on Bosque, Harp Design Company, and even met Jimmy Don at a new pop-up shop. We saw several of the “Fixer Upper” houses, including a surprise visit to the “Three Little Pigs” house where we were able to actually go inside to experience Chip’s renovation skills as well as Joanna’s flare for design. As the two of us watched the reruns of every show together and he thinks Chip is just AWESOME, we were absolutely thrilled to be able to take advantage of this tour and recommend it highly!

I would highly recommend this tour if you are a Chip and Joanna Gaines fan! It is a great tour for anyone who wants to learn more about Waco.
