Just trying to surf was fun, unfortunately brain and legs weren't in sync. Instructor could have been little more helpful and supportive,

My friend and I did the one hour lesson with one of the instructors. He only taught us how to stand up, but no other moves, tips, or tricks. He would just push us into the wave and wait for our return, and in the meantime would just be talking with other girls who were out there surfing. It was definitely disappointing, as we paid a lot for these lessons. He also had us go in almost 10 minutes early.

We will not make you a professional in a hour. We will teach you how to stand up and we will push on the waves, like we do to everyone. Your job is to get back to the instructor, so he can push you on more waves. We are not restricted to talk to others in the water while we waiting for you to return. If you stand up on the board and catch waves on your first lesson, we did our job. We also don’t teach endurance. As some people can’t handle peddling the board back and forth to the instructor. And they can’t handle anymore. Surfing is definitely for who is in good shape. So please don’t blame it in your Intructor. Our best wishes. Aloha.

Max was awesome. Laid back with great a great welcoming personality. My wife and I stood up our first try and several times after that. Very pleasant and fun experience we will not forget! 🤙
