Overview

Waikiki Turtle Canyon Snorkeling is an amazing way to experience Hawaii’s incredible marine life on Oahu’s south shore right in front of the Waikiki Skyline. Guests will have the opportunity to snorkel with Hawaii Green Sea turtles, numerous species of reef fish and every now and then we get surrounded by dolphins or a Humpback Whale breaching in the distance during Whale Season.

INCLUSIONS: A fully equipped 50 foot motor catamaran with lots of cockpit and deck seating, onboard restroom, snorkeling equipment and instruction, USCG licensed Captain offering hands on snorkeling instruction. We strongly advise guests to be comfortable swimming. We will supply buoyancy vests onboard.

Complimentary water will also be supplied onboard however please bring cash if you would like to purchase any soft drinks, alcohol, or light snacks.

We suggest bringing a hat/visor, swimwear, cover-up, sunscreen, towels, binoculars, and a camera.

The Tour was sold as a boat trip (which was tiny in distance, could of almost snorkelled off the beach) and around 15 people - it was around 45 people - overcrowded and didnt have enough equipment. The site itself was crowded with other boats. We did see some turtles and fish, but you can do this from the beach in northern part of island better for free - and see more fish in a nicer spot. Save your money - rent a car and find a nice beach like Shark Bay

I would agree with some of what other reviews have said, in that the snorkel itself was crowded. There were 2 or 3 other boats in the area, with a large number of swimmers trying to get a look at the turtles. But we did see a turtle! And many other fish. Despite the large number of people in the area, there was still lots to see and the water very clear. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and even agreed that the crowds do make it challenging. The boat left precisely at departure time, so don't be late! That said, it would also help to increase signage so folks know they're at the right place.

The staff on board were very friendly and we enjoyed our boat ride. There were no cups available for the "free" water and we did not bring water as we were told that there would be free beverages. The rest of the excursion was a waste of money. We have been on many snorkelling tours all over the place over the years. The space they take us too is over crowded. The current was strong and there were so many people packed into such a small space. You couldn't go out further than where the boats were for safety reasons which I understand. But we were all sardined together and it was extremely unenjoyable. Continuously being kicked in the face by people and their fins. I realize the tour operator have no control over what type of marine life will be in the water but with that many people and boats around it is no wonder that there were very few fish and only one turtle spotted in the very murky water. We had a much better experience on our own at sharks cove. No turtles but amazing fish. Save your money and drive there with your own snorkel gear and water shoes.
