Around 50 people were loaded onto this Blue Line ātrolleyā which had seating for 33. We were amongst those standing up - not great at our age (near 70). If you are standing up and 6 ft tall, you see nothing unless you crouch down to look out of the windows. We have taken the Hop On Hop Off option in a number of cities around the world and this is by far the worst experience ever. After an hour we hopped off at the Sea Life stop (approx half way) as we were too tired to continue. Sea Life turned out to be a pleasant experience. Most people do not āhop offā because it can be difficult getting back on as most trolleys on the Blue Line are full. We experienced this during our return journey (standing again) when a small group could not get on at a shopping mall stop. The driver on the way to Sea Life provided some great insights into Hawaii and the local areas we traveled through but the driver on the return journey talked non-stop garbage most of which did not relate to the trip. Half way back to Waikiki my wife felt faint and had to sit on the floor, not great in a crowded moving vehicle. Do not waste your money on the Blue Line, get a Holo pass and use the local buses which provide an excellent service. No one should be standing up on a tour!!!
