Our family of four took the tour with James, and we learned a tremendous amount about the history of the Wailua River. James is a gracious, gentle man who taught us about the plants along the river and along the path to the waterfalls. He showed us which flowers are honeysuckles, and which flowers provide the same effect as aspirin. We felt like we were a part of the earth when we tasted them. Glorious. Overall, the experience is active and engaging and less expensive option than some of the other activities on Kauai. James is an extraordinary guide.

James was an amazing guide. Patient and knows a lot about the surrounding area, plant life and random island facts. I believe he only does the tour once or twice a week, but I would recommend asking which days hes available. I cant wait to do this tour again in 5-7 years when I kids can enjoy it like my wife and I.

Just an amazing day - beautiful kayak trip, wonderful hike and the waterfalls was just beautiful! Brian was an incredible guide full of smiles, great information and fun crazy stories. He was just delightful! Don't miss this trip!
