We give this tour five stars because this is the type of tour that gives you a knee deep experience on the island. The kayaking is relaxing. The hiking scenery is incredible. The secret falls in unbelievable. This entire tour is worth more then you pay for. It didn’t even feel like 5 hours because times flies when you’re having fun. We felt so lucky because our tour guide was Lisa and she gave us a real jungly experience. She was fun and very personable. We would definitely come back and take this tour again because of how enjoyable it was.

This had so much potential, and I think the main reason we did not enjoy it is because of our guide (Jake). He didn't point out anything or tell us any stories about the area, nothing. The kayaking was fairly easy, but it does take a toll on your arms by the end of the day. The hike is pretty easy and flat for the most part but I felt like this was a very big tourist trap, you walk through a forest (which was nothing special and super muddy) and then at the there is an over-packed waterfall full of 1000 other tour groups all doing the exact same thing. I would recommend just renting a kayak and kayaking a bit of the river on your own if that's your thing, but I don't recommend the tour. It is too expensive for what it is. You could also do the hike alone as it is pretty straightforward where to go (just follow one of the other 1000 tour groups). Maybe our experience would have been better if our tour guide was more knowledgable about the area, talked about the plants, or told us any interesting stories. Not sure, but I would def not recommend this guide, Jake.

This was my first time kayaking and I hadn't hiked in many years. Brian, the EXCELLENT tour guide, was very accommodating with great stories and pointing out different flora and fauna throughout the tour. I recommend this ADVENTURE for young and old when you visit Kaua'i.
