Walking Historic Tour of the Nations Oldest City

Overview
On this self-guided audio tour, you will dig up the good, bad, and ugly stories buried under St. Augustine's historic streets. St. Augustine is the oldest, continuously occupied city in the United States. On this walking tour, you’ll follow the journey of founding father Pedro Menendez de Aviles, and the many others who gave everything they had to settle this hostile land. From the original city gates to Plaza de la Constitución in historic downtown St Augustine, I’ll show you the scars around every corner. Along the way, you’ll hear good, bad, and ugly tales about what it took to build a perfect fort, and how it was attacked many times but never taken. St. Augustine’s history is long, and its twisted tales are endless. This is a storytelling adventure into the lives and times of those who built this city. Whether you’re visiting St Augustine for the first time or are a curious local, this tour will give you a greater appreciation for the city and its rich cultural heritage.

We arrived for the 9pm tour for a night time adventure. Our guide (can't remember his name but he was from Boston) took us on the tour of St Augustine's ghostly places. Our guide was very interesting and he was a good story teller. He also showed us pictures of orbs that had been taken on previous tours. The tour included going to the fort, the city gates, a well in town and two cemeteries. I would recommend this tour it was very knowledge filled and entertaining. There is pay parking behind the house and a parking garage is just down the street. Wear walking shoes and have your cell phone charged for your adventure. Also a tip at the end of the tour would be appreciated.

I took a Ghost tour with Mr. Kevin and noticed right off the bat his history was awesome. My husband and I are giant “history enthusiasts” as we like to call ourselves. So we talked to him at the end of the ghost tour and he told us about the walking history he does. It was awesome!!! He knew everything and everybody in St Augustine! Every question I had he answered fully, and when my husband asked where he got his information, he had sources on hand from the University of Florida an multiple other sources! He was very funny, informative, and the tour was entertaining! While we only had 10 am and 6pm are a bit odd, I really appreciate it now. It was warm but not unbearably so like it was at 3pm. Great tour, and really made our trip!

Thank You for your review of Kevin "Mr History" Lynch, We are proud to be able to have him as part of our staff! He does a great job with both the history and the ghost tours and sounds like you had a great time with both! Yes the 10: 00 am or 6:00 pm may seem odd if your not from here, but as locals we do know just how the heat of Summer wears on people. Thank You for taking the time to write this review! We appreciate you!
