My husband and I did the Boston Freedom Trail to Copley Square Walking Tour while visiting Boston this week. We met our guide 15 minutes before the start time across the street from the Old State House. We were in a small group of 10-12. The guide was very knowledgeable of the history and architecture of the area and kept at a good pace with stops for photos and stories of the places we were looking at. He took us into the Granery Cemetery to look at many famous grave markers and monuments. This tour cuts across
Boston Common to see the domed capital and spends some time walking by old money homes and then returns to the Public Gardens before heading toward Copley Square and seeing the newer homes and shops. The tour ends near the Boston Public Library in a great area for dining and shopping. This was a very good way to get an up-close view of the city with it's history.

This is a great way to get to know the highlights of part of the Freedom Trail sites in a hands on way. Walking pace isn't strenuous and the guide was very knowledgeable of Boston's history including its architecture. He even had little ponchos to give a couple of ladies on our tour who were caught in the slight drizzle we had during the walk. Overall, it was a great experience.

Enjoyed the tour very much. Our guide was quite knowledgeable, but seemed a little indifferent to any questions from the group and didn't offer much in the way of historical drama along the Freedom Trail.
