We had one short day in Boston and signed up for this tour. The guide was knowledgeable and informative, but focused more on architecture and building structure. We did not even get to see Faneuil Hall, the Old North Church or Paul Revere's House which are major sights on the Freedom Trail. Who ever heard of a Freedom Trail Tour of Boston without those stops? You could do much better using the NPS guide or the AAA do-it-yourself tour. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

I would recommend taking a longer tour, Freedom trail to Copley Square. You get to see Boston Common during the day which is very different experience than at night. It is two hours long. You get to see and hear a lot and you can always come back if you want to spend more time in one area. It was interesting to see older and newer part . We learned a lot on this tour and I liked the pace of the tour.

Our tour was a very informative, casual walking tour. Our tour guide was Alan; a native Bostonian. He was very informative with a good sense of humor. Even though there were about 20 on the tour (a number of seniors), everyone could hear him as he told us of the historic sites, plus he maintain a reasonable pace so that everyone kept up. We started on time and ended on time. My wife and I recommend this tour for a good overview of Boston history, especially if you can get Alan as your guide.
