Was really looking forward to doing this full day tour but knew straight away how it was gonna go when people started pushing in and arguing about wanting to get on the coach first as they were in an Italian party, meant to leave at 5am yet was still there at 5.15 due to an over booking meaning there wasn't enough seats. As the tour started it was pretty clear that the Italian group at the front of the coach spoke no English as they were shouting and moaning at the Tour guide woman who then had to do really long explanations in Italian that just seem to take over the whole tour leaving everyone else feeling left out.Add that to the fact the same group were coming back late all the time dispite being told we'd go without them if they weren't back on time, caused us to have less time at certain attractions which was frustrating. Then they started a loud sing a long which personally I had no problem with but after about the 6th song being played loudly on one of there phones one of the passengers further down on the bus snapped and came down having a go at them, made things feel a little bit awkward.Eating at the same services both times didn't help as there wasn't much choice there,I thought we were gonna eat in Wahington or Philly....obviously not...again the time allowed to eat both times was short ...It was a long hard day and the 3 of us and the people around us honestly couldn't wait for it to be over...

Fantastic day. It is a very early start (5 am) but you are going to see a lot of iconic places. Driving time is probably around 7/8 hrs in total but the coach is comfortable and there are a couple of stops to break the journey up. Tour guide Carlos is amazing (tour in Spanish and English). Very knowledgeable as you would expect but he has little bits of additional tips/advice that are invaluable. Cannot praise Carlos enough. Also, the driver, Elvis, is great – no idea how he manages to drive the coach down some very tight roads! If you have a spare day in New York I highly recommend this day trip to Washington and Philadelphia.
