An interesting day out from New York. Surprised how small the White House was. Overall a very full day and we saw all the major sights

I was in NYC with my partner and his son. We booked a day trip to Washington DC with GetYourGuide. The whole trip was 12 hours long so we had to wake up early to get to the meeting point on time. Everything was really good organised, just the weather was not perfect as it rained during the day but it was not that cold at least. We were very happy with the trip as it was really packed with attractions in quite short time as just the way to get there was several hours. We saw The White House, The Mall, Capitol building, Lincoln Memorial as well as the Arlington Cemetery and Korean and Vietnam War Veterans Memorials. Our guide was very professional and gave us all the information while watching the attractions as well as in the bus. I would really recommend this trip.

An interesting tour into DC key sites - Lincoln Memorial, White House, Arlington Cemetery, Veterans Memorials, etc. As it was my second trip, I was a bit disappointed on how briefly everything was covered (absolutely aware of time constraints!), I just felt other tour groups were getting more insights from their guides, I happened to listen to them a few times rather than to our guide who wasn't sharing as much. Anyway, it was great to be DC, would always recommend to make it part of your stay in the US.
