This is a small group experience, with each electric cart limited to a max of 7 people. Whilst we do our best to seat groups together, we aren’t able to guarantee this and at times, groups may be asked to sit on separate carts.
This tour runs year-round and will proceed rain or shine unless such weather constitutes a dangerous situation. The final decision on cancelling a tour will occur at least 1 hour prior to departure and all possible guests will be contacted.
Carts accommodate most types of infant seats and we encourage parents to bring their own. We can provide an infant seat, as long as a guest calls us at least 48 hours before the tour and informs us of the age and weight of the infant.
Wheelchairs can be accommodated, but we need to know in advance.
The itinerary and its order of stops are subject to change at any time. Monuments visited may change due to local road or monument closure which are beyond our control. Most travelers can participate
All tours follow the latest local health authority advice, including mask usage and social distancing. Intrepid Urban Adventures has received the World Travel and Tourism Council’s Safe Travels stamp, which recognizes companies that have adopted health and hygiene global standardized protocols.

What To Expect

Tidal Basin

Move through the major monument areas, marveling at the dramatic effect of the floodlights on the stately architecture. Admire the Jefferson Memorial and Martin Luther King Memorial, bathed in indirect light from the Tidal Basin.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial

Take in the FDR Memorial with its cascading waterfalls and sculptures depicting President Roosevelt’s four terms.

Washington Monument

See the illuminated Washington Monument and Lincoln Memorial. Then visit the WWI and WWII Memorials, the Korean War Veterans Memorial

Vietnam Veterans Memorial

And, finally, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

White House

Continue past Washington DC’s most famous address: the White House. Keep your camera ready to test out your night photography skills as you stop at the sites.

Capitol Hill

Continue on towards Capitol Hill to be astounded by the Capitol Building. End your tour on a high note by asking your guide for some recommendations for the rest of your stay in the city. Your eco-friendly, open-air electric cart allows you to enjoy fresh air and great views as you tour the city. Your guide also points out festivals, exhibits, demonstrations or special events that may be occurring in this lively city. After a 2-hour tour, you'll return to the Smithsonian complex where your tour ends.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The small group size allowed for questions and an individualized experience. The tour was a good mix of riding and walking to different spots. If you go in the winter, dress warm! My only suggestion.. I wish the guide would have pointed out more of the seasonal lights/ displays around the city. Would absolutely recommend!

What a wonderful way to spend 2 hours! This was my first time seeing the landmarks in Washington D.C. and this tour provided a lot of bang for the buck. Carl, the driver/tour guide/photographer (yes, he’s a triple threat!) was fantastic. He was a catalog of information and more than happy to help me capture photos rather than relying on the selfie feature on my phone. As a solo attendee on this tour it was nice to be able to send good quality photos back home while on the tour. I rated this tour 5 stars and that is despite being bone-chilling cold due to wind chill, time of year, open air vehicle, and my own slight underdressing. A nice touch and really what saved me from misery was the blanket provided at each seat by the tour company. I had an early flight to catch back home the next day and lost some sleep to make this little adventure happen but left with zero regrets. Highly recommend!
