Paul was funny, kind, and knowledgeable. My daughter is a Sustainability major in college and it was fun listening to Paul geek out with her about nature. Paul is so passionate about the area and loved taking us to some of his favorite spots. Of all the fun things we did in Asheville, this hiking tour was my favorite. I highly recommend it! One thing I would note if you are considering this particular tour: the actual amount of hiking involved was only about 2-2.5 miles. You will see gorgeous mountain views and waterfalls, but you will also spend much of your time riding in the van between the destinations.

My family had a blast with Eli and Nat. They pointed out the highlights along the Blue Ridge Parkway that we passed by. They had a wealth of knowledge on the flora and fauna of the area. We were only expecting a little hiking and a few waterfalls, but we also got a lot of interesting facts about plants and fungi. We even learned how to recognize poison ivy and stinging nettle and how to treat them. And we even saw some mushrooms. Our 9-year old was disappointed that we won't be doing our second hike with Eli and Nat.

Thank you so much for this thoughtful review and recommendation! We take a lot of pride in sharing what we love, like our knowledge of the Southern Appalachian ecosystem, with our guests. We also love to hear our guides are doing good work out there on the trails. We hope to see you again and experience even more together!
