My wife and I were interested in doing a private guided hiking tour in the greater Asheville area. We booked a tour with Asheville Hiking Tours. About 24 hours before our trip, we were contacted by the company so that they could determine what type of experience we were looking for. We wanted something a little more robust than their standard waterfall and Blue Ridge Skyway tours. They were very accommodating. Our guide Paul was willing to adapt our day to what we were looking for. We had a nice 5 mile hike in the Pisgah National Park that was more challenging than their normal tour. Our guide Paul was a wealth of knowledge on all things plant and animal. He was awesome. At one point, we looked at our watch and saw that we were well past our scheduled stop time. Paul was so chill and we ended up tacking on even more time after that. A pleasant experience all the way around. I highly recommend the company and specifically would recommend a day with Paul.

This was our second hike with Paul! We couldn’t wait to come back! We can’t say enough about him! His knowledge of the forest is amazing, and his personality makes it feel like your hiking with a lifelong friend. We are already planning our next trip back in October & a hike with Paul is #1 on our list!
