Randy our tour guide was wonderful... not only friendly but beyond knowledgeable as well. The tour began with a drive through the gorgeous Blue Ridge Parkway, with some stopping points at overlooks. We ended with three waterfall stops which is the part of the tour that involves a few short hikes. Randy shared so much interesting information about the area, and was able to answer all of our questions. We had a great time, took some beautiful photos, felt safe, and learned a lot! I would highly recommend this tour group, and Randy as a guide.

This was a great tour! I was traveling solo and wanted to learn about the Blue Ridge mountains and see some of the prettiest parts. I managed to do both on this tour! We were lucky to have Jennifer, the owner of the company, as our tour guide. She was super sweet, accommodating and knowledgeable. I still can’t believe I ate leaves! The only reason I gave this four instead of five stars is because it’s definitely more of a tour than a hike. You drive for most of it, but believe me the drive on Blue Ridge Parkway is incredibly beautiful and I was glad that I wasn’t driving so I could look at the scenery. The longest hike was about a 40 minute walk. So if you’re looking for an actual hike this isn’t for you, but if you want a nice easy relaxing tour with a great guide, this is just right.

Thank you for this review - we love adding a little foraging and fun content to the tours! It is a great joy knowing that you appreciated the gorgeous views along the Parkway. The Waterfall and Blue Ridge Parkway Tour is definitely our EASY hike option (since many of our guests are physically impaired) whereas our Guided Waterfall Hike is our MODERATE hike option. We also offer 4 to 8-mile hikes as Private Tours. I will try to clarify this on the website ;) Thanks again, and wishing you a happy summer!

Came to Asheville for the beer and the thought that I might spend a day wandering around the mountains on my own- but my father had signed us up for this little adventure on Sunday. Our whole experience was fantastic from the get go. Jennifer, our tour guide, was on time and prepared with everything we needed to have a memorable day. (Food, water, hiking sticks, and other supplies). It was great that Jennifer let us go at our own pace and even gave us options to cater the tour specific to our interests. Her knowledge of the history of the area, the mountains themselves, and the surrounding forestry was most fascinating. We had planned to see some additional sites on our own the next day, and she made some great suggestions. In addition to the waterfalls, I especially appreciated her recommendations for a few local breweries in the course of our conversation during our time together. Overall, a memorable day, and one of those things you do not want to miss if you are planning on visiting Asheville. Give Jennifer and her team a call- and they will make sure you have an experience you’ll remember for a long time!

Your thorough review means so much! It was a joy treating you and your father (both such a delight!) to the stunning scenery around Asheville. Thank you for mentioning that you appreciated all of the content along the tour - we love talking about the history of our forests! I hope you found that perfect brew in town ;) Wishing you all my best, and certainly more Happy Trails. -Jennifer of Asheville Hiking Tours
