Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 15 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.
All Maui County rules and regulations are followed. No masks required.

We LOVED our horseback trip with Maui Mountain Activities! The horses were beautiful and gentle and the staff were all really friendly and encouraging to us beginner riders (other advanced riders enjoyed it too). They have over 30 horses that are rotated for tours so the horses are not over tired. The trip is excellent value - we were riding from about 9am until noon with an opportunity to run our horses (and lots of supportive coaching from the guides). We rode up the mountain and saw gorgeous waterfalls and then all the way to sea level and back to the ranch again. The guides took photos of each group 2x (waterfall view and ocean view) on our own cameras. And we were even able to eat fresh passion fruit off the trees lining the trail! Highly recommend!!! They also have clean portable washrooms at the ranch and free iced water and sodas. And lots of sweet animals to see whilst waiting to ride (sheep, goats, mules, kittens, peacocks and a dog) and they have riding helmets that you can choose to wear or not.

We had an amazing time riding horses with West Maui tours. The horses were beautiful and well taken care of , the guides were awesome and very helpful. The views were beautiful. We had a mixture of riders and the guides allowed us all a fabulous experience. I will definitely go back !

It was our first time to ride and this place made it memorable. You actually have the option to gallop! Read up on how to ride (use your thighs!). No accidents; looked like everyone had fun. We did!
