Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

The views were breathtaking and the staff and guides were patient and amazing with our kiddos!!! They went the extra mile to ensure my kids (7 and 9) were safe but still felt like they were expert horse handlers riding on their own! It was my 7 yr olds birthday the day we went and they made her feel like a princess all morning! She hasn’t stopped talking about that day. And as for myself and my husband, we were able to sit back, enjoy the ride and incredible scenery without any worries! It was an AMAZING day!!!!

They did NOTHING but pass the buck between themselves and the Horseback Tour business. We endured an evacuation due to large wildfire and no one would refund our money because we couldn’t get to the tour! We couldn’t even get to our hotel until 4AM. The tour, 1.5 hrs away from the hotel, was to start st 8:15AM. So no sleep for us and no tour. No sorry. No call back in a timely fashion. Viator said they weren’t a travel agency so didn’t go the distance to reschedule our tour. They said it wasn’t available the next day, after I was told it was. Viator is a NIGHTMARE COMPANY!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!

I'm very sorry you had such a bad experience with TripAdvisor. I have no control over third party bookings and when reservations are made thru third-party agencies we all must abide by their policies. TripAdvisor has always been a pleasure to work with and I personally think they are an AMAZING company.

Ride was terrific, the team were helpful, polite, professional and the horses well cared for. We had a long ride - 2.5 hours. The views were terrific at the top of the mountain and down by the ocean. With the wait to go up to the ranch, get ready, ride and then get back to the cars you really need to allow 4.5 hours for the activity.
