Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 15 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.
All Maui County rules and regulations are followed. No masks required.

We had a great time on this ride. You get to ride up to a mountain and overlook an area that what used for the Jurassic Park movie. Beautiful area! Then you head on down to a spot that overlooks the ocean. You have a few opportunities to get your picture taken during the ride. If you like to gallop you are given a chance to do it a short distance, so hang on for your life for those who are used to nose to tail riding. Just kidding! The horses where well fitted to the riders and they were great. People running the place and the guides riding with us where very good. My only suggestion to the experience would be for the guides to gather everybody together before they start talking about the area. We were at the end of the group and missed out on some of the information.

What a fantastic time horseback riding along the East Maui Mountains. Our guides Fred and Heather did an awesome job guiding us along the trails. Beautiful scenic stops where guides took pictures of us. Loved the opportunity to run the horses at some spots. They were great about catering to all riding levels, but if you like to gallop there is places to run. The horses are well taken care of and super trained to make the experience wonderful. Highly recommend this stop for a fun way to experience Maui.
