Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 15 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.
All Maui County rules and regulations are followed. No masks required.

My wife and I had not ridden for several years but the ranchhands were by our side continually encouraging us. This was a wonderful experience as we rode into the mountains for a view of the waterfalls in the distance. As we headed down the mountain, we rode along the coast with an awesome view of the ocean. The staff was very kind and took care of us throughout the entire experience. I highly recommend you check out this ranch.

My sister and I are horse lovers and we really wanted to try horseback riding on the beautiful island of Maui. We booked a private ride in the morning. We were paired with a great guide named Selena. Since we are both intermediate riders she took us for one of the best rides we had in a long time. Selena allowed us to run our horse in 2 different spots. What an adrenaline rush!! Along the ride we got to see amazing views of the mountains and the ocean and our guide Selena took great photos of us and the horse with these beautiful views. When the ride ended we had the chance to speak with Christine & Joe the owners who were really sweet. This ranch takes really good care of the horses and they live in great conditions. We would recommend this activity to everyone! Thanks again to Selena for the awesome ride & to our good horses Turtle & Junior

Though the trail does not take you close enough to a waterfall to see it and you don’t actually get to ride on the beach, the trail was still beautiful with just enough rugged terrain to be adventurous. Wear sunglasses - the dust kicks up quite a bit. Guides were amazing and horses so gentle. We even got to eat fresh mango! Guides have planned stops for photo shoots. And it was a relaxing morning with my daughters and chatting with the guide.

On Maui, we are not allowed to ride horses on white sand beaches, but we ride along the coastline as stated(where the land and water meet ).Then we ride to the top of the valley to LOOK IN at the waterfalls. Waterfall sizes depend greatly on the weather. When there has been no rainfall in 4 months, the waterfalls are definitely smaller then when its rainy season and there are 25 LARGE waterfalls in the valley. Glad you still enjoyed your ride with your daughters
