Overview

Maui Mountain Activities offers horseback rides that take you up into the West Maui Mountains to view waterfalls (seasonal) from a distance, then down to the coastline to ride alongside the Pacific Ocean. Experience the tranquility of Maui's native rainforests and the beauty of its waters. There is a run spot where you can run your horse, if you want (weather permitting), and your guides will take photos of you with your camera along the way. Tour through the petting zoo and experience up close the many animals, which may include mini horses, geese, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, and sheep. This is a 2 hour tour. Soft drinks are provided and complimentary.

ACCURATE body weights are mandatory. If you exceed the body weight given to us by 15 pounds, we will try to see if there is a horse that can accommodate you. If we do not have a horse to accommodate you, you will be unable to ride and will not be refunded.
All Maui County rules and regulations are followed. No masks required.

I have done a few trail rides and this was by far the best one yet! The amazing scenery is a given but the customer service was phenomenal and the guides were informative very kind, and patient. They matched us to horses which suited our experience level and there are a good variety of sizes and temperaments to suit any rider. The guides take you to some amazing spots along the way and will take photos for you. They also take very good care of the horses. Many trail ride outfits work the horses excessively which in turn can create a poor customer experience but all looked well fed and eager to be on the trail. My husband and I really enjoyed the entire experience! We will definitely be recommending to anyone visiting Maui!

We did this trip last month off a cruise ship. A short taxi ride to the ranch and the day began. There were about 12 of us in total. A short tutorial, mounted up and away we went, a steady ride up the hills to a viewpoint of waterfalls and was amazing. This was a photo opportunity which the cowboys took of us with the background. Then we headed down all the way to the waterfront, but not to the beach. A thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and highly reccomended.

We did the 2 hour ride which ended up being about 30 min longer. It's a nice leisurely walk but they allow you run the horses at two spots and do a good job keeping back the riders that do not wish to run. The horses are healthy and well taken care of. The guides are great and very personable. We had a great time and I highly recommend this ride for anyone looking for a horse back ride in Maui. I would also recommend the morning ride because I couldn't imagine how uncomfortably warm it would be during the afternoon ride.
