SO MUCH FUN! I'm a full convert from the catamaran trips - these smaller boats are my way to go now. Saw awesome whales (breach after breach, baby wasn't getting the lesson?) on the way to snorkel. Excellent reef, not crowded, our guide Shasta was THE BEST, very knowledgeable, in the water with us pointing stuff out, finding things to show us, learned a lot from her. The turtle stop was super good too - same drill. Food not as fancy as on the cats but very well done. Capt. was fun and accessible, land crew really nice too. Thanks for our added spot, Austin! Overall a lot more relaxed and more personal trip. Can't wait to go again next year!

Before coming to Maui, I researched, researched and researched snorkeling spots and tour companies. I am not sure how any other tour company can top the Magic Merman. The crew is top notch! Top priority when swimming in the ocean is safety and staying safe. This tour company operates with small, intimate groups and a crew member is in the water with you. - You don’t find that very often. You’re not snorkeling on top of other snorkelers in a big group. You also see more when you’re in a smaller group.. More time in the water, etc. The crew is very attentive to all guests and they go out of their way to be sure you have a great experience, while taking you to the best reefs in Maui. The crew keeps you hydrated and provides snacks. I would book Magic Merman over and over. Great people, small business - And hard to top the experience!

This is one of the most wonderful experie ces in Maui! Unlike the big commercial boats, Austin and his team give you a personalized and small group experience of the ocean. I felt completely at ease with them and the tour was also very educational. Snacks were great and the atmosphere on the boat is fun. Well worth the money and would 100 percent do again!
