Enjoy a fun, educational adventure that’s perfect for the whole family on this half-day Everglades tour from the Greater Fort Myers/Naples area. Stroll through a Slash Pine/Saw Palmetto forest in search of colorful wildflowers, butterflies and other wildlife. Learn about the headwaters of the Western Everglades from your entertaining biologist guide and take an exciting airboat ride through marshes and swamps in search of alligators, wading birds and so much more. (Please note that trails are often flooded from July to October and guests will need to be prepared to walk through the cool water on the trails!)

Enjoy a casual stroll through the Corkscrew Watershed Marsh Trails.

Lake Trafford

Guests will enjoy an exciting, wilderness experience in the headwaters of the Western Everglades where they will journey by airboat to visit alligators, turtles and dozens of different species of birds in a pristine wetland. Additionally they will get to learn from a wildlife biologist about the native reptiles and have an opportunity to view them up close.

What a treat - went out on May 20th with our 5 year old. Was told this was not a busy time (we were the only ones there - 2 groups no showed. ) So we got Heidi to ourselves. If you go - get Heidi. She was so knowledgeable about the ecosystem. She could spot birds by their song so we never missed out when we were on the hike. She truthfully made our experience a great one. She included our daughter and made it great for her too. The airboat ride was a blast. Saw a 10ft and a 9ft gator. Had about 15 plus gator sightings. 2 bald eagles and numerous native and non native birds. Then the reptile holding. Again Heidi with the knowledge and love for her craft/profession. Cannot rate this adventure high enough.

It was great, learned a lot and I got over my fear of snakes thanks to Zack our tour guide. He was funny and informative. He seems really interested and care about the wildlife.

Everything was great and educational. Handling the reptiles (snakes and alligator), the nature hike, and the air boat ride on the lake. I was thinking the air boat ride would be in a marshier area like the “classic Everglades” but it was pretty much just on a lake. It was still cool seeing all the alligators and birds. I took an airboat ride before with another company and it was way more fun. Regardless, this was a fun experience and I don’t regret any of it.
