Enjoy a fun, educational adventure that’s perfect for the whole family on this half-day Everglades tour from the Greater Fort Myers/Naples area. Stroll through a Slash Pine/Saw Palmetto forest in search of colorful wildflowers, butterflies and other wildlife. Learn about the headwaters of the Western Everglades from your entertaining biologist guide and take an exciting airboat ride through marshes and swamps in search of alligators, wading birds and so much more. (Please note that trails are often flooded from July to October and guests will need to be prepared to walk through the cool water on the trails!)

Enjoy a casual stroll through the Corkscrew Watershed Marsh Trails.

Lake Trafford

Guests will enjoy an exciting, wilderness experience in the headwaters of the Western Everglades where they will journey by airboat to visit alligators, turtles and dozens of different species of birds in a pristine wetland. Additionally they will get to learn from a wildlife biologist about the native reptiles and have an opportunity to view them up close.

We had a wonderful time on this tour with Rhett - a super enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. The tour begins with an easy walk where we learnt about the landscape of the Everglades. The reptile show offered us experiences we’d never had before - holding snakes and a baby alligator. The boat ride was even more rewarding - we saw over 20 alligators, soft and hard shell turtles, and an amazing range of birds. It was a highlight of our trip!

I called, emailed, online tryed to change my reservation before the 24 hr deadline I was not successful, online kicked me out, call went unanswered, as well the email. I was disappointed with that, probably should have cancelled and rebooked or should have just went to Immokee to book airboat tour which we were most interested in.

Hi Corey, We are super interested in birds! and alligators and turtles and dolphins and all of the wildlife we see on tour. We pride ourselves on being a true ecotour and with that comes the focus on experiencing ALL of the wildlife in their native habitat including birds! What sets us apart from taking just an airboat ride is our biologist is on the airboat and narrates the tour using the networked headsets. I'm sorry you were unable to contact TripAdvisor/Viator customer service. It's always best to communicate directly with Everglades Day Safari so we can handle any reservation issues directly. We had a fantastic time on this Everglades Adventure! our tour guide, Rhett, was so much fun and knew everything about the local flora and fauna. He kept my teen and tween interested and was so knowledgeable. Definitely ask him about monkeys! The boat trip with Captain Fred was so cool and we saw at least 100 gators. Highly recommend this half day trip and ask for the best guides…Rhett and Fred!
