Husband & I drove down on a gorgeous Sunday to enjoy a boat ride & maybe see some dolphins. I just so happened to have a bygo coupon from my Entertainment book, making the trip that much more attractive. We were going for the 10:00 am ride. When we got there we were told where to park (free) & went over to buy the tickets. We had a bit of a start when the young man at the window stated they wouldn't be selling tickets UNTIL they determined there were enough people for the cruise. (What's eNOUGH?) Alittle bummed that we might have taken the trip down for nothing......20 minutes later tickets started to be sold. We boarded alittle after 10 & off we went. To clarify this is the red & white boat at the Miss Chris Marina. I thought the commentary was informed, I learned more from this cruise than other that I'd been on. While they did mention the active sex life of a dolphin as a previous poster stated, I didn't find it offensive, maybe someone with young children might. We saw a ton (ok many pods) of dolphins. The boat played the sounds of humpback whales so maybe that draws the dolphins in. It was a real thrill for me to see the dolphins. I could have stayed out there for hours...... On the way out & back our guide pointed out points of interest on the shore.(Cape May Lighthouse, Lewes De, Cape May Ferry etc) The most interesting, to me, was the gun fortification that was built for WWII. Back then it was 900 ft from the water & UNDERGROUND. Now the waves lap at it & it's completely uncovered, can anyone say beach erosion? On our excursion there were binoculars for rent (3.00) & refreshments, including free danish & coffee. No hand-out for tips at the conclusion of the trip which made a change from the other cruise. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly & would go again. Further plus since it was after season the gift shop had all clothes 50% off & geegaws at 30% off. Such a deal!

I've gone on whale watching trips for three decades and throughout the nation. Summer 2009 was one of the best whale watching cruises ever. The crew was friendly, the staff was knowledgeable and we saw whales, can't ask for more.

We went 2 nights in a row on the Cape May Whale Watcher. We had a great dinner and saw lots of dolphins. The crew is great and the Owners are very nice and informative. Can't wait to go back.
