The Delaware Bay Estuary is a sanctuary for many species of marine life, including Humpback whales, Atlantic Bottlenose dolphins, Manta rays, Thresher sharks, Hammerhead sharks, Harbor porpoise, Harbor seals, Northern gannets, Greater shearwaters, Bald Eagles, laughing gulls and a plethora of fish species. This cruise allows for an awesome offshore experience for the family, as well as seasoned adventurers and seafarers alike, and is fully narrated by your captain, who will point out local history along with many types of marine life.
The vessels in the Cape May Whale Watcher fleet, include the 110 foot long Cape May Whale Watcher and the 125 foot long Atlantis. They are the largest of their kind, offering air conditioning and heat, restrooms, upper deck seating and full bars with snacks and libations. They offer max comfort!

It's a nice boat and a nice ride for a few hours out on in the ocean. The staff is great and it is thrilling to see dolphins playing around the boat. We were hoping to see a whale but this time we did not. They serve food and drinks as well as alcohol in the air conditioned cabin. The captain could use a few more facts about the area. As he drives around searching for dolphins he'll spout off random facts about the area. This trip they seemed to be struggling to find dolphins or whales and we doubled back around where we had come from and he gave the same facts on the way back in as he did on the way out. We finally found some dolphins and then headed back in. They do guarantee some kind of marine mammal sighting and they delivered. Just not the big ticket item, a whale. Maybe next time.

We were looking forward to a nice family activity. The crew was nice, the ride was pretty and we saw many dolphins. I wasn't expecting as many people on the boat and many were drinking and rowdy. There was enough room overall, but the chaise lounges on the top deck were missing many straps. We didn't see any whales and apparently it isn't so common which I would have preferred to know ahead of time. I would have enjoyed this much better if it was only half as long. I ended up taking a nap for at least an hour.

This ship goes out for Dolphins during the summer months despite the name "whales" in the title. We had an excellent excursion and the captain made sure his visitors saw dolphins, lots of them. We were thrilled especially when they come up to the boat to look at the passengers! Our cruise lasted a little more than the scheduled time but no one was complaining. What a great adventure that I had no idea was available herein south Jersey. Enjoy
