Whale Watching Adventure in Juneau

Overview
Although we are the original whale-watching company in Juneau (operating since 1994), we are still small and family-owned and operated! We want you to feel like part of the family, and we pride ourselves on prioritizing local hires in order to give back to our community and give you the best possible tour experience. We want our guides to love Juneau as much as you do!

Our fleet consists of only mammal-friendly jet boats, and the small size and intimate setting will make you feel right at home with the whales.

We pride ourselves on our quick transfers between vehicles! We don't want you to wait any longer than you absolutely have to!

Go in search of whales with a naturalist guide on a day trip from Juneau. Hop onboard a boat and get binoculars to spot other wildlife such as sea lions, bald eagles, and black bears. Depart from downtown Juneau on a bus driven by a local tour guide through a scenic route to Auke Bay, where you board a comfortable jet boat. Be led by a captain and naturalist on an unforgettable search for whales in Favorite Channel, Stephens Passage, Lynn Canal, or Saginaw Channel. Binoculars are provided so you can see the humpbacks, killer whales, Dall’s porpoises, harbor seals, Steller sea lions, bald eagles, black bears, and towering mountains better. With the growing abundance of whales in the area and their comfort with small boats, you are bound to see many. This tour includes transfers between downtown and Auke Bay and two hours on the water. Included in the price of the tour are onboard refreshments, including bottled water, coffee, hot chocolate, and a small snack.

We had a terrific time with Dolphin Tours. I booked them in advance based on the positive reviews, and they were very accurate. Small, personalized boat with only 6 passengers. The boat captain and mates were super friendly, knowledgeable, and wonderful hosts. We were super lucky seeing a full breach, not once but twice!!! Captain knew where to be and was very respectful to the wildlife. I will book again when I come back to Alaska!

Absolutely brilliant! Lovely family run business who really looked after us on our whale watching adventure. Picked the bus up at the cruise ship Dock and drove over to the marina to catch the whale watching boat. The owner/driver gave lots of local information and was a real pleasure. The weather was terrible. Rain and high winds but this didn't have any any effect on everyone's enthusiasm. The boat was cosy and it wasn't long before information was received regarding whale sightings. Everyone on board was exited to be able to see these beautiful creatures. It was a real humbling experience to see a cow playing with her calf and both breaching the water on unison. Totally unforgettable experience. A big thank you to all involved. After whale wat6we were taken to see a glasier. Again a beautiful experience Even saw a lovely porcupine in the grass!

Tour was amazing, we got picked up promptly at the TRAM and guided tour to auke Bay where the guide shared the history of Juneau and Salmon and how to prepare of bears etc and once we were on board we had 3 guides helped us explain about whales and how to spot them and once they spotted whales we were able to closely look at them and record them, Rio,Jen weee amazing, it was cold so we were able to sit inside and. Only got out when we spotted whales or seals
