As a family of four, we were at the end of the line at the entrance, so we didn’t find a good space to sit. But they had a VIP space for reserving. We paid $20 per person to sit in that area and enjoy the good view and extra attention from the crew. They also offered a free cocktail, but since we don’t drink alcohol, they gave us extra nonalcoholic drink and snack. We saw some grey whales and the season was mid March and the time was about 4 pm.

No refund offered after the whale watch was ended early due to rough weather. Offered a trip another day but that doesn’t help since we don’t live here. We were told we should have canceled before the trip. Not helpful. Wasted money.

The crew was friendly and determined to make our trip time well spent and they were successful. We saw three grey whales fluke in what appeared to be a "planned" performance. Our trip was breathtaking and very enjoyable. It's a must when visiting the Newport, CA area. Loved every minute of our experience!
