We saw a ton of dolphins!! Wished we had seen a whale but that is no reflection on them. Concession operator on the craft was super friendly and knowledgeable! We will do it again!!

Even though peak whale watching season is waning, a day out on the water with Dana Warf Whale Watching & Sportfishing is great fun. My Sister & I were out enjoying a day in Dana Point, and notice they were still doing tours for whale watching. They had a "Half Price Tuesday special for $28. So we went home and booked a tour for the next Tuesday on the company's website. Got there to their shop/counter, and and showed my voucher to get the actual tickets. Boarded a very clean and nice Catamaran that is perfectly set up for this activity. The fore deck has a raised platform with secure railings that has ample room for observation and photography. Got some nice photos of mostly dolphins and some mink whales. It was a bit cloudy, but the swells were very calm. Everyone enjoyed themselves, polite and attentive staff. folks took turns getting on the rail for good photos. Two hours is just about the right amount of time. Super value for sure!!

Didn’t see a whale and wish I had warmer clothes for the children:( Everyone was freezing 🥶. It’s a lot of money wasted for a single parent of four so I wouldn’t recommend if your on a budget and trying to find something fun to do.
