It was a nice boat ride for three hours. The crew was good. Saw some sea lions, seals, bald eagles, and deer... but not one single whale of any kind. Very disappointed.

Hi Alan, Thank you for sharing a review of your recent San Juan Safaris tour experience. As the owner of San Juan Safaris, we do not guarantee whale sightings, but we do guarantee you will have a great experience and it sounds like we did not meet your expectations for your April 14th excursion from San Juan Island. My hope is that we meet everyone's expectations when they join one of our whale watch & wildlife tour experiences. Because of the nature of wildlife, we understand that may not always happen no matter how hard we try. In the future, I would ask you to please contact the owners or manager on site to express your disappointment and we are always happy to meet your expectations whether that is a refund, or free pass for a future trip. Not seeing whales has nothing to do with the amount of research and effort that goes into every trip. There simply were no whales within range of our boat, arguably the fastest and therefore vessel with the most range from the San Juan Islands. How we communicate with our guests those chances and doing the best job we can is what we do. We can only do the best job that we can, be honest with our customers, and make the best effort to educate about ecosystem and species conservation. I hope after youā€™ve heard this explanation youā€™ll contact me and give us another opportunity to show you whales in the wild. Thanks for your consideration, and I look forward to speaking with you. Sincerely, Brian Goodremont San Juan Safaris Owner | Captain

We had a wonderful trip. Very lucky to see and follow an Orca family of 5 individuals for nearly one hour.

We had the perfect unusual sunny day in San Juan Islands, very good for following a family of Orcas hunting and having fun but also sea lions, seals, eagles, and lambs! What a combination! A special thank you to Erick, the passioned naturalist who made the trip even better with his very interesting explanations. A 5 star trip, which I definitely recommend!
