We went on 2 whale watching tours with San Juan Safaris and both were awesome. Mike was our captain for both trips and he did a great job of networking to locate orcas and positioning the boat for perfect viewing. We had Sarah and ??? (I'm sorry I can't remember her name) as our naturalists and both were very knowledgeable and experienced. We saw Orcas on both days!!! (July 20 sunset cruise and July 21 adventure morning cruise) We saw the T37s hunt and kill a porpoise then turn suddenly and headed straight for us! It was so exciting to have them pass by so close! The next day we took the Kestral out quite a way and saw the T144s including a young male with a huge dorsal fin! It was incredible! On the way back we saw a minke whale too! As we were zooming back in Capt. Mike suddenly swung back to show us a puffin!!!! On both tours we saw seals, porpoise, and bald eagles as well. This was a true bucket list experience! I highly recommend San Juan Safaris.

Great trip with San Juan safaris in early July. Outstanding staff that made our afternoon easy and relaxing. We watched orca whales, humpback whales, seals and bald eagles. It was the highlight of our trip! Our family plans to return again soon!!
