This was by far one of the best things I have ever experienced. Sarah who was our guide was very enthusiastic and determined to find a whale for us. As you can see from the pics we found one. We also saw many sea lions . I would definitely recommend this company. We booked our trip through kenmore air .

My husband surprised me with two items on my bucket list. The first being a float plane trip to Friday Harbor and the second, a whale watching trip to see Orcas for the first time in the wild. It was a perfect day!. We flew on Kenmore Air from Seattle/Lake Union to Friday Harbor. The flight gave us plenty of time to explore the town and have lunch before going out on the boat. Once on the boat we were greeted by two enthusiastic women who were the naturalists on our trip as well as the captain. The captain gave us the safety talk and the naturalists told us what we may or may not see. In no time at all we were seeing wildlife, lots of birds and harbor seals and possibly a Stellar Sea Lion, which is unusual at this time of year. My hopes were high that we would see the Orcas and we did! The naturalists got so excited at the first sighting. There hadn't been too many sightings of the J Pod yet this summer. They are magnificent creatures and we got to spend lots of time watching them from a respectful distance. This was a dream come true for me and an experience I will not forget. The naturalists were informative as well as making sure we were comfortable at all times. I can't say enough good things about the company and the experience we had. We returned to Seattle that evening. It was a fun day trip from Seattle!

The coolest experience and highlight of our trip. I can not wait to visit again, and I will definitely take a San Juan Safaris whale watching tour. Also, shout out to our naturalist, Alex F. She was kind, knowledgeable, and shared her awesome pictures with me!
