I planned our trip to Washington with my number one goal being to see whales. It was a great time of day to go out on the boat. The boat was not crowded. The boat had blankets for some of the folks who were in shorts (hint, wear layers, even though it is warm and sunny). Hannah was full of energy and knowledge. We followed around some humpback whales and I got some great pictures. Such a thrill. We also saw eagles, seals, sea loins, and porpoise. We were sad not to see the orcas, but luckily we saw them from shore the next day. I would highly recommend the sunset sail.

We went on a whale watching trip with this company last weekend and had a really nice time. The boat was nice, and two naturalists were knowledgeable and the captain did a great job with the boat. We saw many bald eagles and harbor seals. We probably headed out for about 45 minutes when we came to a trio of transient orcas. All the whale watching groups work with each other so everybody gets a good view, nobody blocks each other, and they get into a specific formation so as not to disturb the orcas. As luck would have it, the trio were headed in the direction from where we came, so we basically followed them for quite a while before we had to head back in. I got numerous pictures and video of the whales. I heard a few people complain about no snacks on board - when you book the tour, they tell you that, and allow you to bring snacks on board so that was a non-issue for me.

"We saw orcas this morning and plan to go back to their direction of travel. We're seeing whales today." BEST SENTENCE OF MY LIFE! From even before we stepped on the boat, the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Eric was a great nature guide and very knowledgeable about the wildlife. Captain took us straight to orcas so of course he was one of my favorite people. We saw 7 orcas and my life was complete. One of the only tours that offered sunset/post 4:30 pm boat tours so we hopped on after taking the 3 PM ferry. I'll definitely go again!
