We took out-of-town guests from NY on a whale watching trip with San Juan Safaris. It was everything we could have hoped for! We saw minke, orca, and humpback whales, and our guests couldn't have been more thrilled. We were impressed with the knowledge and friendliness of the wildlife guides. We took the Anacortes ferry as walk-ons, meet our guide, went on the 3 hour tour, had dinner in Friday Harbor overlooking the waterfront, and caught the ferry back just as the sun was setting. Perfect end to a very nice day.

My adult son and I had a great boat trip watching the rich marine life of the waters around San Juan Island and the coast of Vancouver Island. Had a very competent and friendly captain and an excellent naturalist. We have strong memories of a most enjoyable and educational experience at sea with San Juan Safaris. Bergen traveler

We had a wonderful time on our whale watching trip, getting to see a humpback whale breech - twice! Many other sightings, including the whale coming within 30 ft of the boat. We also saw other wildlife from sea lions and seals, to many different birds. The staff was knowledgeable, informative, and friendly. They had slickers and binoculars to borrow to make the trip more comfortable and fun. We combined our trip with a flight on Kenmore's seaplanes, highly recommended and a great value.
