This was a great excursion with an amazing crew on board to guide us. We actually saw a pod of whales (5) and watched them for over an hour. The crew were extremely knowledgeable and welcomed all questions. It really was one of the highlights of our trip. Can't recommend them highly enough!

On August 7, 2021, we went on the whale watching tour with San Juan Safari tours. This was our first time to Friday Harbor, and we fell in love with the historical, cute small island town. San Juan Safari tour was easy to find, and check in for very easy. The staff was very welcoming! The tour itself was AMAZING! This was our first whale watching tour, and we were so impressed with the captain and the naturalists who were our crew for the day! They were all so knowledge with facts about the various whales and the orca family we saw. Our captain took us out to further water because other boats had reported an orca family nearby. Sure enough this was the family they have been tracking for years. What an incredible sight! The pictures don’t do it justice. We spent 30 minutes following the orcas. On the way back to Friday Harbor, our captain found sea lions on a rock and took us near them. If you are looking for a whale watching tour, I recommend San Juan Safaris. 100% amazing! Can’t wait to do another trip with them again!

More than I hope for whales weather and good company decided to go 2 days before hand 300 mile drive there would do it again tomorrow if I had the time thankyou
