We booked the "fast" high speed boat - this is the only way to better ensure you see Orcas. Make sure Jordan is your naturalist (she has a special connection with the Orcas - Go Clemson). On our trip we spent about 90 minutes floating and watching female and young orcas hunting, capturing, feeding and then celebrating. So much activity - tail flaps, spy hopping, surface swimming, surface floating, and a couple breaches. The only way it could have been better is if one of the orcas jumped up to give me a kiss. There is NEVER a guarantee to see Orcas but I would trust San Juan Safaris to make it happen if it was possible.

We did not get close to any wildlife - eagles and sea lions were pretty far away and unless you had binoculars or good lenses on your camera you were out of luck we spent over an hour around the same area hoping to see the fun of an orca. I found out later on that other boats went closer to the Canada border and saw large pods of orcas.

Went on a whale watching adventure safari with san juan safari today. Wow... it was fantastic. Laura and Eric were the best. Eric put us on several pods of orca's and Laura told us all about the pods, knew their names and stories. It was just awesome. Saw 11 orca whales from 3 diff pods... even saw 2 pods on one pass, 2 bald eagles and countless sea lions sun bathing. They even have all the gear needed to keep us warm out on the water. We highly recommend these guys. Thank you Laura and Eric...
