Amazing job! It was a full day adventure for my wife and I. We opted for the whale plane package and I can say it's the best way to go. We landed in Friday with enough time to explore the charming town and have a nice lunch. After lunch we made our way back down to the water to check in for the boat safari. The guides were very informative and friendly. You can tell they take pride in what they day and have a deep love for wildlife.

We visit San Juan Island regularly and have gone whale watching with San Juan Outfitters many times over the years, never to be disappointed! Each trip has been exhilarating and unique and our most recent trip over 4th of July week was no exception. We love the adventure of riding on the Kestral -- which is fast, so you get to cover a huge amount of ocean. On this trip we not only saw orcas, but also saw humpback whales providing a never-to-be-forgotten display of tail-slapping. Over and over and over again we witnessed the majesty, power, and enormous grace of these mammals' huge tails being thrust up into the air and then being slapped down to the water's surface creating an incredible sound and wave action! What an experience! Many thanks to Captain Mike for his expert navigation and to naturalist Marianna for her enthusiastic and informative interpretation on this trip. We will be back!

A perfect size inflatable boat brought us right down near the water's surface. Excellent job spotting and tracking down wildlife and whales. All tour operators receive and share the same location information of the whales so no operator is better or less capable in locating marine life. Very knowledgable and enthusiastic tour guide provided lots of info and details. A terrific, memorable afternoon. Highly recommended.
