Not only did we see orcas, but we saw a pair of humpback whales as well. Our captain and naturalist were both knowledgeable and expertly guided our experience. As a family, we will always remember the day we went whale watching from Friday Harbor.

We went to San Juan Island in Washington, had a whale watching trip booked with San Juan Safaris, the greatest experience of a lifetime...great people, very fun, very educational. All of Friday Harbor is so relaxing, friendly, and family friendly....we had the time of our lives...if you ever want to whale watch, strongly recommend San Juan Safaris...the best!!!

We booked our adventure trip at the last minute, because we thought maybe seeing the whales from shore at Lime Kiln State park would be good enough. While we did see some from the park, this ride was SO WORTH it! We rode the high speed Kestrel boat, with Mariana and Mike as our guides. We were given warm pants & jackets, which kept us warm since we were going so fast in the open boat. We saw so much more wildlife than we had anticipated....bald eagles, sea lions, seals, some of the resident Orcas and a humpback whale. Our captain got us close enough, but within regulations, to hear them blowing. Mariana gave us so much interesting information....you can tell how passionate she is about her field. I would highly recommend this excursion....it will be the highlight of our trip!
