This was the first time my children (both teenagers) and I have ever done this and it was phenomenal. The captain, the woman describing the excursion, the whales--all really great. The entire experience was really cool, I'd give it 5 starts except the man staffing the concession stand was so off-putting. I sent the kids in for a couple sodas and they said he was extremely rude to them. The next time, I went in myself to ask if they had sea sickness tablets (they don't stock them onboard so make sure you bring your own or get them in the shop if you go). While I was waiting in line, a young teenage girl in front of me asked for water and didn't realize they only accepted cash payment. He asked her three times in three different ways "do you have any cash on your body?". I stepped in to pay for the water for her because she looked so uncomfortable and he was nasty to me, first pointing his finger in my face and saying "ma'am STOP, ma'am step back" and then chidingly letting me know he was always going to give her the water for free. His attitude was the only cloud over the entire experience and that's sad because the rest of the staff was really exemplary.

This was a memorable experience. We saw several humpback whales and many dolphins. It was a beautiful October day. The woman who provided narration was great.
